Appreciating People creates more international links

Appreciating People established more international links at a recent Appreciative Inquiry retreat in Kent. Directors Tim Slack and Suzanne Quinney spent a week at the event, entitled Complexity: managing paradoxes and creating opportunities. Fellow participants came from Spain, Italy and France adding a real international flavour, and offering guests the opportunity to share good practice and experiences and consider collaborations.

Fellow attendee Damas Basté was so impressed with Appreciating People’s work that he’s featured us on his website, and will be looking at some of AP’s ideas and learning as part of his thesis. Suzanne says ‘It was wonderful how the non English speakers applied themselves to grappling with our colloquial English… Damas was one of the participants, and he particularly liked the video of the work that I had done with the Homeless hostel, as well as some of our other practice – hence the link.’
